Route L10 – Church Minshull from Nantwich (17 miles-easy)

A pretty circular route to the north of Nantwich, crossing the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union Canal in two places and visiting Worleston and Church Minshull. Church Minshull village is a conservation area with many typical black and white houses. It is referred to with affection in L.T.C. Rolt's book, Narrow Boat.

Thomas Telford's historic iron aqueduct in Nantwich has been recently refurbished and looks splendid!

  • The main road crossing of the A534 at Reaseheath requires care
  • Welsh Row in Nantwich can be congested and should be cycled with care.
  • The road from Church Minshull to Worleston can be busy with commuting motorists at weekday rush hours, when great care is required. At those times avoiding cycling this section is recommended.
