Cheshire East Council have formed a consortium with the other councils in Cheshire to provide eligible residents with the English National Concessionary Bus Pass. To be eligible, residents must be of pensionable age, or meet the disability criteria defined under the scheme (see Cheshire East Council website:www.cheshireeast.gov.uk).

Bus Pass holders can obtain free travel on journeys starting in Cheshire East or Cheshire West and Chester on Mondays — Fridays after 0930, and at any time on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Travel before 0930 on Monday — Friday is at half fare.

Free travel also as appropriate on journeys which commence in Cheshire East or Cheshire West and Chester and end in Wales and vice versa for Cheshire Consortium pass holders

In the rest of England, travel is free for concessionary pass holders between 0930 and 2300 Monday — Friday, and anytime on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
